| Elect Lady Semequia Means was born in Atlanta, Ga. Elect Lady Means began singing at the tender age of 4, her first rendition was ''He's Got The Whole World In His Hands.'' Elect Lady Means received her education in the Metro Atlanta Public School System. Elect Lady Means was born and raised at Central Holiness Church of Deliverance under the Spiritual Leadership of Apostle J.T. Barnett & First Lady Evangelist Blondine Barnett along with her grandparents The late Bishop J.T. Stroud and Evangelist Jessie Louise Stroud. Elect Lady Means was a God given prodigy to a family which was already blessed with multi-gifted and talented ministers, singers, musicians, etc., so for God to have gifted her from her mother's womb was exceptional and phenomenal to be brought up so small, but such a gigantic voice filled with power and anointing. Elect Lady Means has been gifted with such an anointing until she can walk in any church, concert hall, auditorium, civic center, whether the place be large or small, she proves that God has given her such an authoritative voice until she captures any audience through the power of God. Elect Lady Means was mentored by her mother (Wynell S. Hart) and her aunt (Evangelist Blondine Barnett) by the knowledge that God had placed in them to captivate audiences, stop any artist whether they be major or local by showing audiences across this country what God had gifted them with vocally. The bible states "Many be called, but few are chosen," it must be on record in the archives of heaven that Elect Lady was chosen to minister through song to God's creation. Elect Lady Means has put her signature voice on compositions such as, "His Eye Is On The Sparrow, Great Is Thy Faithfulness, The Lord's Prayer, I Feel Like Going On."...................and any other song her voice can depict, she makes it her song. Elect Lady Means musical genius are noted as Evangelist Kim Burrell, and the Dynamic Clark Sisters. God has anointed Elect Lady Means to have her own identity when it comes to the sound of her anointed, powerful, breathtaking, earcapturing voice that leaves most of her audiences with an unexpected awe. Elect Lady Means is married to the renowned Pastor, Preacher, Teacher, Singer, Composer, Psalmist, Musician, Bishop J.D. Means, Sr., they are referred to across this country as "The Dynamic Duo," she is the proud mother of 3 wonderful gifted and anointed children. In her earlier years of singing she had an opportunity to sing and travel with R&B's Excape, but she chose to stay with the one who had chosen her to sing and minister the gospel through song. Elect Lady Means has appeared with such Gospel greats as Evangelist Dorothy Norwood, Troy Ramey, Pastor Dennis Meredith, Pastor Mary D.
